LA FIERMONTINA FAMILY COLLECTION OPENS NEW SUITES AT ITS FIERMONTE MUSEUM IN PUGLIA

LECCE, ITALY (July 18, 2024) – The La Fiermontina Family Collection (lafiermontinacollection.com) opened four new luxury accommodations at its Fiermonte Museum in Lecce, Italy, immersing guests in art, even after hours, as the collection’s matriarch and inspiration would have lived.

On the ninth anniversary of the family-owned collection of elegant hotels and villas, with properties in Italy, France and Morocco, the La Fiermontina Collection now has four luxury suite accommodations at its museum in Lecce, Italy, which holds the family’s private collection of art.

In the Fiermonte Museum’s new themed suites, guests can stay and enjoy a unique creative experience in each room. Each suite is dedicated to an art form: the Nocturne Suite is music-themed, the Peplum Suite is inspired by cinema, the Avant-Garde Suite is dedicated to painting, and the Marbre Suite is a tribute to sculpture. Three of the suites accommodate 2 people, and the suite Avant-Garde accommodates up to 3.

THE FAMILY COLLECTION

The Fiermontina Family Collection is owned by brother and sister partners Fouad Giacomo and Antonia Yasmina Filali and is inspired by their grandmother, Antonia Fiermonte, who was an artist herself, and who married to two different influential sculptors during her lifetime. The family’s story spans three countries, as does its collection of luxury hotels and villas.

The La Fiermontina Family Collection in Italy’s Baroque town of Lecce in the Puglia region includes the 19-room La Fiermontina Luxury Home, the 10-suite Palazzo Bozzi Corso and the Fiermonte Museum with its 4 new suites. Antonia Fiermonte’s story continued in Paris, where the family owns La Fiermontina Vendome, a 2-bedroom luxury villa on legendary Place Vendome is appointed with the family’s extraordinary collection of fine art, antiques and decorative objects including paintings by Francis Bacon and furniture by Gio Ponti.

In June, the Italian-Moroccan siblings’ newest boutique property opened on the wild coast of Larache, Morocco called La Fiermontina Ocean. The eco-retreat is a program of the Orient-Occident Foundation, founded by sister Antonia Yasmina Filali 30 years ago to help bring opportunity to rural communities of Morocco. La Fiermontina Ocean trains and employs local villagers, and features 14 pool suites, 4 traditional houses, a hammam and cafe in the village of Dchier.

THE FIERMONTE MUSEUM

In Lecce, a town known for its strong artist community, the Fiermonte Museum recently underwent a major renovation and expansion. Today the Fiermonte Museum is much more than just a museum: it is a sanctuary of art, a place where the love of creative expression merges with history, technology and innovation.

The intertwined stories of Antonia Fiermonte and the artists René Letourneur and Jaques Zwobada create an invisible thread that connects the past to the present, transporting visitors on an emotional journey through the last century.

The marble blocks transformed into poetry under the expert hands of Letourneur and Zwobada, the bronze works, the drawings and paintings of Antonia, blend harmoniously with modern exhibition technologies.

The use of virtual reality, holography and stereoscopic panoramas adds a layer of depth and immersion, transporting viewers into a one-of-a-kind multi-sensory experience.

A bridge between the past and future, the Fiermonte Museum consists of works from the Fiermonte family's private collection, taking visitors on a kaleidoscopic journey through 20th-century art.

With bronze and marble sculptures by Letourneur and Zwobada to drawings and paintings by Fiermonte on display, the museum makes use of new technology, including holograms and augmented reality, to bring a sensory dimension to this extraordinary narrative.

The multi-media Fiermonte Museum features a holograph of matriarch Antonia Fiermonte beside sculptural works by family members, and art from the family’s extensive collection.

THE FIERMONTE MUSEUM SUITES

The Fiermonte Museum is no longer simply a place to visit, or simply a cultural hub of ideas that is open to exhibitions, workshops and artistic residencies, it is now also a house to live in. Staying in one of its four thematic suites is like sleeping inside a work of art - a living story that offers a truly immersive experience.

The Nocturne Suite is dedicated to music, inspired by Antonia’s work as a violinist and Zwobada’s as a cellist; the Peplum Suite pays homage to cinema, specifically the work of Antonia's brother, Enzo Fiermonte, who was a famous actor; the Avant-garde Suite is inspired by the paintings of Antonia, Letourneur and Zwobada, and the Marbre Suite is dedicated to the sculpture of Letourneur and Zwobada.

The Fiermonte Museum Suites are located at Vicolo dei Raynò 4 73100, Lecce. Room rates start at 650 euros and include breakfast, entrance to the museum exhibition and the opportunity to tour the museum after hours by flashlight.
