A new way of living at 6,000 feet above sea level, the Tschuggen Grand Hotel's mountain lofts offer the privacy of your own, luxury apartment with access to the amenities and 5-star service of the Tschuggen Grand – including its award-winning spa, 2-Michelin-starred La Breza restaurant, in-hotel ski rental with former Swiss ski champ Max Gisler (pictured above with pe.PR) and private railway to the lifts for seamless ski-in, ski-out access (above left). Guests can choose between One, Two or Three Bedroom units, each with spectacular views, and between - 1,200 to 1,800 square feet.
A sister property to the Tschuggen Grand, the Carlton Hotel, with 60 rooms all facing the lake and beautiful Engadine mountains, reopened its doors this month to kick off festivities for its 111th anniversary year. To mark this special occasion, they created an exclusive anniversary offer that includes 2 nights with breakfast, a bottle of Champagne, per stay a CHF 111 spa credit and a daily F&B credit.
Enjoy the hotel's ski butler services for a luxury ski experience (like pe.PR did with Tschuggen Collection's Ryan Imboden, who used to be a ski jumper!), or try a cold plunge in the lake, a mountain hike or we won't judge if you opt for shopping in chic St. Moritz instead.

Experience the charm of an authentic Swiss village, and one of the only snow-sure destinations in Europe, thanks to the glacier in Saas-Fee, which is home to The Capra, a new, 38-room wellness hotel. Saas-Fee also boasts a top ski racing school where Olympic skiers come to train each summer (that's right, there is still snow in the summer!), plus glacier hikes and a via ferrata experience for the adventurous. But the less adventurous can enjoy meditative snow shoeing through the forest among a particularly fragrant pine tree that only grows in the area, customized wellness programming and cozy Swiss mountain restaurant meals by roaring fireplaces. Ask pe.PR, who visited recently and is pictured on the mountain with a bit of the glacier to her right and the village of Saas-Fee behind her in the valley.
Post Lech is a 3rd-generation, family-owned resort in the former post office building opened by ski instructors in 1937, the year the first t-bar lift came to Lech. The founders helped to establish ski tourism in the town of Lech. Today the hotel has several restaurants, a luxurious spa, indoor & outdoor pools (open year round) and is a member of Relais & Chateaux – J.MAK himself approves.
Skiers can enjoy the legendary "White Ring" ski circuit which connects the towns of Lech with Zürs, Zug, and Oberlech –and it leads you along the most beautiful slopes around Omeshorn. Lech is a “quiet luxury” town. An understated, family-oriented resort town with the largest number of Michelin star restaurants (20 in total) in a ski village. The first wine sommelier in Austria came from Lech and many European royal families spend their holidays in Lech (at Post Lech!) each year.

Guests can ski both the Italian and Swiss sides of the mountain with a new ski lift connecting the two ski areas. The environmentally friendly modern hotel boasts 56 rooms and 10 suites. Cervino guests can enjoy the wellness center, SPA, along with an on property restaurant and lounge. D.BER cooled off in the alpine air this summer!
Northern Italy's Dolomites mountains are all the rage, and for good reason. Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti is set within the vast Madonna di Compiglio, western part of the range (where pe.PR is pictured above left), which is less populated and more pristine than the more touristy Cortina area (and its just 2 hours north of Milan). Lefay Dolomiti features 21 modern residences and 88 suites that are designed according to the resort's innovative wellness concept.
Its 53,000-square-foot spa – one of the largest in the Alpine region – blends Classical Chinese Medicine with Western scientific research. The resort boasts a medically-based, indoor-outdoor spa program and a culinary program to complement the spa, as well as the hotel’s natural setting. It's two restaurants, Dolomia and Michelin-starred Grual, offer the Lefay Vital Gourmet culinary concept that enhances the Mediterranean diet with regional flavors.
Nestled in the heart of Megève, in a 5-are park just outside of the village, Les Fermes de Marie is the epitome of the Art of Mountain Living. A family resort where you can enjoy a warm welcome and authentic luxury all year round. In winter, skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, and horse-drawn carriage rides are just a few of the activites. pe.PR with Maison & Hotel Sibuet's Mathilde Tissot snowshoed one snowy December morning (above right).
The hotel has its own ski shop, adorned with wood and leather sofas, and a staff on hand to advise you on the most cutting-edge ski equipment and accessories. The complimentary shuttle brings guests to the ski lift in just a few minutes, and the Chamois gondola will take them to the Evasion Mont Blanc ski area, with its 186 miles of tree lined slopes, facing the Mont Blanc mountain range!

Utah's Sundance Mountain Resort not only has killer skiing, it also serves up top-notch rustic luxury – and was recently recognized with its first Michelin Key, J.WOW soaked up the scenery this fall. Don't miss dining at Tree Room, surrounded by Native American art and artifacts from Robert Redford’s personal collection, or sipping cocktails at the Owl Bar, which has Butch Cassidy’s bartop restored and relocated to Sundance Resort from Wyoming.
In winter, downhill skiing isn't the only way to play in the snow at Sundance. The Nordic Center offers 15 kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails for both classic and skating techniques, plus snowshoers have access to 10 kilometers of dedicated trails through the woods.
Or get a birds-eye view of Sundance's Mount Timpanogos on the Sundance ZipTour, boasting over 3,870 feet of riding. Guests can ride side-by-side on the zip line’s double cables and control their speed, cruising over 65 miles per hour, or stopping mid-air to take in the views.
